Eagle Rock Entertainment Presents Nirvana - Nevermind: Classic Album

It can be argued that Nirvana's Nevermind was an album that defined a genre. Released in 1991, it single-handedly gave birth to the grunge movement and has gone on to sell over 8 million copies in the US alone. Now, Eagle Rock Entertainment tells the story behind the creative process with Nirvana - Nevermind: Classic Album, out March 22, 2005 on DVD.

The second album from the Seattle trio and their first on the DGC label, Nevermind was produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Andy Wallace. Nevermind - Classic Album is a comprehensive look into the making of the landmark record. Along with interspersed live footage, the DVD features in-depth interviews with surviving members Krist Novoselic (bass) and Dave Grohl (drums) discussing the band's past, the recording of Nevermind and the legacy of Kurt Cobain. Also included are exclusive interviews with Sub Pop's Jonathan Ponneman and Nils Bernstein, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth and the DGC A&R and promotion team. Producer Butch Vig elaborates on the recording of the seminal album and even isolates and breaks down studio tracks at the mixing board, further explaining the recording process.

In addition to the documentary, the DVD is packed with extra features including "Drain You" - the story behind the making of the track, "Going To Record In LA," "Dave Grohl Joins Nirvana," "Polly (live)," and "Nevermind- the album sleeve."  Nirvana - Nevermind: Classic Album has a running time of 70 minutes and a list price $19.98.
