I Felt Very Compelled To Release This Song That Celebrates Diversity...in The Current Social Climate #musicmoney Meets Dan Green
Where are you from Dan?
I am a singer songwriter, producer , engineer and recording studio owner in Columbus Ohio.
I have a long history in the music industry. My studios (amerisound have been a staple in the
Ohio music scene for well over three decades.
My songwriting is acoustic or piano based and spans the pop , folk, and world beat genres.
Tell us about your Christmas release:
On this track (Happy Holidays) the lead guitar , bass and background vocals are performed by Ronnie Diamond.
I play the keys and rhythm acoustic.
Ronnie is the former lead singer and lead guitarist for the grammy winning funk/r n b group The Ohio Players.
I enjoy blending styles across cultures and genres.
The higher purpose of this video is to express the ecumenical point of view that all people of all faiths can celebrate together and respect our different approaches and beliefs.
I have never seen a more devisive year in The USA than this one under the current government. I felt very compelled to release this song that celebrates diversity...in the current social climate.
If you can take the time to watch the Rise Up video...you can take a peek at my studios and some of the finest singers in central Ohio. I wrote that song to raise money for the hurricane victims here in the states as well as Puerto Rico. ( Itís like We are The World only the musicians are regionally famous not world famous yet)
Tell the people something they need to know:
Not all of my music is about social issues I also write a fair amount of love songs as well.
I am a storyteller at heart and enjoy experimenting with my writing,
Generally there are messages in my songs and generally they are positive in nature.
