The Levins And The Lords Of Liechtenstein Join Magical Forces In A Split Bill At The Turning Point In Piermont!

The Levins and The Lords of Liechtenstein will share the stage in a one time only afternoon of music. The Levins will be joined by Mark Dann on bass and baritone guitars & The Lords of Liechtenstein with their full band.

The Levins are known for putting a smile on your face, offering peace-filled folk-pop that is warm and uplifting without skating over the complexities of life. Guitar and piano, along with tightly blended unison vocals, reflect the couple’s own compatible musical and personal relationship which began with meeting at an open mike in Berkeley, CA. They are 2017 Serfa and 2016 Nerfa Formal Showcase artists, 2014 Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists, CT Folk Festival Songwriter winners, and South Florida Folk Festival Songwriter Finalists. Their My Friend Hafiz CD, was selected by WFUV’s John Platt, as a top 10 CD of 2013. Their latest release, TRUST, debuted in the Top 10 on Folk radio and top 20 Roots Chart. “I Am Here”, a song from the CD was an Empower Award winner at the 2016 Posi Music Festival. Their music continues to connect on a universal level with a lighthearted depth and a celebration of our common humanity. They are currently recording new songs for a forthcoming 2018 release.

“The Levins are originals! Interlocking vocals – counter singing – these two sound like multiple vocals and I can think of no one who writes tunes in this fashion. It’s almost as if they have created a new “classical” music.” - John Apice, No Depression -

The Lords of Liechtenstein is a contemporary folk band based in New York City. The Lords often draw comparisons to The Everly Brothers for their harmonic sensibilities and to The Smothers Brothers for their mischievous onstage interactions. They write purposeful lyrics to tell musical stories that fluctuate between heart-wrenchingly sad and outlandishly ridiculous topics. The Lords have opened for musical stalwarts such as Brett Dennen, Elephant Revival, and Buckwheat Zydeco, and have been featured on NPR's syndicated Mountain Stage program. Their newest album, Downhill Ride to Joyland, is a raucous fifteen-song romp through the ups and downs of human existence.
