Getting The Lowdown On The New Release ED.1T From @EpiDeMic_HOUSE
Our sound can be categorized as electro-soul with funk and hip-hop Influences
Where are you from?
Nahuel is from Argentina, originally and grew up in Miami. Karo is of Armenian heritage, but born and raised in Los Angeles. We actually met in Los Angeles and we are both based out here now.
Describe your sound:
Our sound can be categorized as electro-soul with funk and hip-hop influences. We use a lot of live instrumentation on our songs. Nahuel plays
guitar and Karo plays the keys. But in our songwriting we like to incorporate a pop structure.
Tell us about your latest track:
Low is a track about chasing love that can sometimes be a rollercoaster from feeling the highest of the high to the lowest of the low. The instrumentation takes you on that sort of ride, from really chill dance vibe for the "high" part, til' when the drop hits and makes you feel "Low".
Towards the end there’s a few plays on the vocals with the electric guitar to give it that signature ED.1T sound.
Who inspires you?
We get our inspiration from a variety of places. We're both huge fans of hip-hop, especially productions from Dr. Dre, Eminem, and the greats from that era. Also, another big inspiration is probably rock & roll. We love
bands like the Guns N Roses, Santana, and RHCP. They are definitely a huge reason we play live instruments on a lot of our tracks
Where do you see your career in 5 years?
In 5 years, we see ourselves touring and playing bigger shows. Other than that, we are producers and would like to write and produce with bigger
artists. Basically, we just see ourselves doing what we are doing now, just bigger and better.
Where can we check out your sounds?
You can find us on YouTube or SoundCloud by typing in ED.1T, that's with a dot. Our music is also available on all major streaming services (Spotify,
Apple Music, Tidal, etc.) and iTunes.
Tell us something about yourself that the people need to know. Sure, there is a lot that we could say. But for now, we'll just let the music speak for itself.
