I Want To Be In A Spot Where I Have The Freedom To Evolve And Experiment @Ed_NunezYL
#musicmoney caught up with LA artist Ed Nunez. Hereís what he has to say about his new projects:
Where are you from:
My name is Ed Nunez and Iím from Los Angeles CA, but born in Jalisco, Mexico.
Tell us about your latest track:
My latest Track is "Ain't Nothing to me" and itís basically about how all this materialistic stuff that some people idolize don't mean much to me. they are just items. Money as well, money comes and goes and although it is important to be financially smart I don't mind on treating myself with what I make. If I like it, I buy it.
Describe your sound:
I would say my sound has a very wavy flow to it, but at the same time packs an aggressive punch to it. Whether itís in the lyrics or in the beat my songs, it will always have some aggressiveness to it to portray that angst I feel inside.
Who Inspires you:
My Inspirations range from artists like Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Big Sean, artists who really have bars and crazy word play to artists like Drake, Future and Lil Uzi, who have great showmanship and are great entertainers. I would say my biggest inspiration is Kanye West though, just because of how free he is with his sound and always does his own thing, he is just another level of genius.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see myself being up there with artists like Migos, Future, Kanye etcÖ I want to be in a spot where I have the freedom to evolve and experiment with my music. I want my music and sound to make an impact in the hip hop/ rap culture.
Where can we check you out:
You guys can stay updated with my newest releases by following or staying in tune with my Soundcloud, that's Soundcloud/ednunes. You can also if you follow my Instagram @ednunez_prod or Twitter @Ed_NunezYL!
Something about yourself that people need to know:
I want people to know that the music I'm making, has to be fully experienced. I want people to feel the feelings I'm expressing in the tracks, whether its feeling like turning up and getting lit to the track like "Ain't nothing to me" or sadness/ heartbreak in a track like "Tainted Love".
