Los Angeles based Rocker and Actor Steve Cooke is hitting the digital market with his new single.

“Light is Green” is available on iTunes/Amazon etc. and you can watch the music video on Vimeo.

The song is a marriage of New Rock-Blues and Americana music, topped with heavy choruses and thought provoking lyrics. Steve Cooke’s stunning voice and unique 12-string guitar style soars above the warm low-end bass and drum lines that kick at the seat of your pants while driving in the car.

The man responsible for the chunky bass riffs and top-notch production is bass player, producer and musical director Michael Bradford. He currently performs with Orianthi and Richie Sambora and has played with Ringo Starr, Dave Stewart and many other celebrity artists and bands.

On drums is special guest drummer Mickey Ututaonga, who flew all the way from his native New Zealand especially to record with the pair. The last time Ututaonga and Cooke worked together was at AC/DC’s drummer Phil Rudd’s Mountain Recording studio, in Tauranga/New Zealand.

“Light is Green”- means GO! And this is beautifully demonstrated in the video, which was produced and directed by Sandra Cooke. The imagery is romantically dynamic with fast edits for the songs different themes, ranging from finding “real love” in an era of high-tech, green technologies, to the culture of living in the emerging legal Green States.

Steve Cooke also portrays Paul McCartney’s guitarist “Dusty Lane” in a new Netflix series with Rob Schneider called “Real Rob”, season 2 is just out now.
