Sept. 27. 2017....
Los Angeles......The Consulate General for the Federal Republic of Germany and Kehillat Israel Synagogue will present internationally acclaimed soprano Willa Webber in her Los Angeles debut on Sunday, October 29.

Miss Webber, a resident of Berlin, will debut songs from her forthcoming recording "Willa World Wide" produced by award-winning composer Martin Davich. Two time Emmy award winning Davich will accompany Willa on piano and Jeremy Cohen from the Grammy nominated Quartet San Francisco will perform on violin.

Also at the free concert, Miss Webber will sing some of her international and versatile repertoire including jazz, cinematic music and some tango. She also will perform 2 pieces from the upcoming Irena Sendler Opera, "Irena", composed by Megan Cavallari.

The evening will include a duet with Cantor Chayim Frenkel who heard her voice and requested a performance. "What an honor it will be to sing with such a virtuoso and to bring our communities together via the universal language of music", said Cantor Frenkel.

No artist in recent history has broken down the barriers of genre like Willa Webber. Her haunting Soprano combined with a musical education from around the world has led the vocal phenomenon on a genre-bending journey, mixing Classical with House, Opera with Dance and creating a new space for Traditional music within the Millennial DJ community.

Coming from a Classical & Operatic background, Webber was awarded the coveted Karl Erb Stiftung Music Scholarship and has performed with high-profile ensembles including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Berlin Symphonic Orchestra. In the midst of her background in classical performance, her muse lured her first to India, and later to NYC where she delved into the kaleidoscopic presence of various and vast musical and cultural spectrum. Her successes within the Classical community led Webber to explore songwriting and composition in NYC, combining the genre with influences from Jazz, Folk and World Music. This culminated in her highly regarded Global Acoustic Project, in which she sings in no less than 10 languages and includes an array of cultural influences.

Webber's career has since expanded to highly acclaimed scores (Rosita Serrano, la favorite del Tercer Reich, Viking Women), feature film roles (Anna Wunder in Father Rupert Mayer) audio books, staged musical readings and performances (Diva in Sommer 14 at the renown Bertolt-Brecht Theater, Berlin). Recently Webber performed as Artist In Residence at the 1. International Music and Theatre Days in Kolobrzeg/Poland, had been featured on the Global Chill Compilation from J2 Music and just finished some well received and outstanding concerts in Germany with the Grammy nominees Quartet San Francisco.

The Oct. 29 performance is free and begins at 5pm in the Ki Sanctuary, Kehillat Israel, located at 16019 West Sunset Boulevard | Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.
