New York Style Beats With Southern Fried Lyricism Mason Grant Cc @DjDotTheWiz

Where are you from?
DJ Dot is a native of Spartanburg, SC. The producer Mason is originally from Queens, NY but he relocated to SC in 2006

Describe your sound?
Our sound is best described as Southern Boom Bap. New York style beats with Southern fried lyricism. We're making hip hop in the vein of all the southern hip hop traditionalists.

Tell us about your new single…
Our latest single " Victim " features DJ Dot flowing over a gritty breakbeat with a very dark and cinematic sample. Dot paints a picture with the lyrics about how he preys
on wack rappers that are destroying the culture and art form of rap.

Who inspires you?
We're inspired by all of the Southern hip hop purists and crate diggers such as 9th Wonder and his Jamla camp, Gensu Dean, Phonte, Rapper Big Pooh, Anti-Lilly, Ju Ju Rogers etc.

Where do you see your career in 5 years?
In the next 5 years’ we're expecting our brand RAW Underground Hip Hop to be a strong and viable force in the underground hip hop scene. We've been recruiting artists
from all over North and South Carolina to help us continue to cook up this Southern fried style of boom bap.

Where can we check out your music?
Our music can be listened to on most digital streaming sites and services such as Spotify, Tidal, Amazon, Google Play and even the less popular streaming sites. We also use our RAW Underground Hip Hop blog on Facebook to debut our original songs and videos.
