Jon Mullane and Suzie Jagger-Richards delivered a stellar performance at the Fairmont Dallas for a special event held by the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, TX. Jon Mullane (www.jonmullane.com) is an award-winning Canadian rock singer and songwriter who has Billboard-charting hits in both Canada and the US. Suzie Jagger-Richards is a talented songstress who was previously a member of the national touring act, The Nash Sisters.

The Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, TX, hosted the special reception at the Fairmont Dallas on Thursday, June 29, 2017, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Canada's 150th birthday party was attended by over 250 guests at this by-invitation only event, made possible by the generous sponsorship of Maple Gold sponsors Air Canada, American Airlines, Bell Helicopter, Matthews Southwest, the Fairmont Dallas, and many others. Guests enjoyed signature Canadian dishes such as poutine and Montreal smoked meat. British Columbia's Twin Kennedy, Ottawa's Métis cultural jiggers Prairie Fire, and Nova Scotia's Jon Mullane participated in a "Canada Coast-to-Coast Talent Showcase", delighting guests.

Air travel for Jon and Suzie was generously provided by American Airlines.

Canada's Consulate General in Dallas is responsible for relations with Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
