Selfmade Records And BMG Extend Co-Operation And Sign Further Writers

BMG Germany and independent label Selfmade Records extend their co-operation with a worldwide edition agreement. Not only existing writer agreements were renewed - including German Hip-Hop artists Kollegah and Favorite - but also new ones signed: 257ers, producer Johnny Illstrument and Hip-Hop duo Genetikk.

Selfmade Records is one of Germanys most successful Hip-Hop Labels, which introduced - among others - Casper and Farid Bang to a wider audience. Elvir Omerbegovic, CEO Selfmade Records, proved his keen sense for new artists again, when rappers Favorite and Kollegah ranked within the Top 10 German album charts.

Producer Johnny Illstrument, who produced ten instrumentals on 257ers' HRNSHN, is also signed to Selfmade. The Crossover/Hip-Hop band 257ers recently entered the German album charts with their debut album HRNSHN on position six.

Elvir Omerbegovic, CEO Selfmade Records: "We are very happy about the contract's extension with BMG and the trust they put in us and our new signings. BMG has outstandingly supported us in the last two years and proved to be a competent partner. We are looking forward to even more successful years of collaboration."

Maik Pallasch, BMG Vice President German Repertoire: "In the last two years, Elvir Omerbegovic has created an exceptional label for Hip-Hop in Germany. His accurate work in A&R brought about multiple Top 10 positions. We are very happy to be part of their ongoing success story."
