Jonathan Davis' Blood Ailment Forces Postponement Of Remaining European Dates From Korn
It is with deep regret that KORN have been forced to cancel the remaining dates on their European tour as a result of lead singer JONATHAN DAVIS becoming ill. The KORN lead singer was admitted to a London-area hospital, affecting the band's performance Saturday's (June 10) at the UK's Download Festival, as the remaining band members performed an abbreviated set with guest vocalists: Corey Taylor from Slipknot/Stone Sour, Dez Fafara from Devildriver, Jesse Hasek from 10 Years, Benji Webbe from Skindred, M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold and Matt Heafy from Trivium. Doctors have now ordered DAVIS to take the next few weeks off to rest and not perform the remaining overseas dates. Plans call for the band to come back to Europe as soon as possible when their schedule permits. KORN are still expected to headline this year's much-anticipated THE FAMILY VALUES TOUR. The 30-city festival trek through North America will launch July 27 in Virginia Beach, VA and will feature KORN, DEFTONES, Stone Sour, Flyleaf and Dir en grey on the main stage. Information regarding acts appearing on the second stage will be announced soon. "We were truly looking forward to playing the rest of the overseas dates," said KORN in a joint statement, "so we have tremendous regrets about not being able to connect with our fans, whom we know are the best in the world. We want to thank them for their understanding and loyal support--and, at the same time, let them know that we will see them when we return to Europe."
