If given the opportunity of a lifetime to spend the summer touring with great bands like Goo Goo Dolls and Counting Crows, why not take it? That's the question Good Charamel bands Last Conservative and The Juliet Dagger were posed which they answered with a resounding "Absolutely." So, starting on June 22, 2006 in Seattle, WA, these two Buffalo-based bands will be jumping on the road as support for this amphitheatre-sized tour. "I love both bands like they're dysfunctional family members," says Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac. "They're both great bands. It's gonna be a great time!"

Aside from sharing a hometown of Buffalo, NY and a label in Good Charamel, both Last Conservative and The Juliet Dagger share a lot of time together. As the flagship bands of the Music is Art Foundation which brings music and art back into high school curriculums through presentations and free concerts, these two bands are very good friends. "We're always messing with each other...great girls, great band...plus I can't say much more or they would beat us up," laughs Last Conservative singer/guitarist TJ Zindle. Adds Dagger bassist Leisha Gray, "We harass each other a little, but we definitely have each other's backs. We started out together when this label began, and we're all in it for the long haul, so there's some camaraderie there to keep the rivalry friendly."

Last Conservative, in addition to touring cross country in support of their 2004 debut On to the Next One, won the XM Radio Award for Best Unsigned Band. In December 2005, Last Conservative played Albany's Pepsi Arena in the support slot for Bon Jovi and have been recording and readying their second album Pretty New Things, while continuing to play shows every opportunity they get. "This new album reflects the energy that the band gives off live," says guitarist Dave Julian. "It's not a live record per se but it represents alot of what the band is about. It's more cohesive and is more collaborative, and also rocks alot harder than the last one!" Pretty New Things will be released on Good Charamel Records on August 22, 2006.

"I think the early Goo Goo Dolls fans are open to us because we have that same kind of thing going on...a little loud, a little punky but still stuff you can sing along to," says The Juliet Daggers' vocalist/guitarist Erin Roberts of these upcoming shows. With the imminent recording of Hi-Ya!, the follow-up to their debut Good Charamel release Turn Up the Death, these four rocker chicks will be flying out to Japan in mid-June to lay down some heavy, punky pop tracks for the late 2006 release. "We've added a few new songs from our upcoming release to the set," Leisha yells. "And as you can see, I'm very excited about that- and I think you should be too!"
Excited about the opportunity, TJ sums up best for both Last Conservative and the Juliet Dagger how excited they are to share an audience with the Goo Goo Dolls: " The Goo fans seem like true music lovers who drive up to 12 hours to see bands they like. The Goos have some of the best fans I've ever seen."
