Dane Cook Hosts "Retaliation Unplugged" Charity Event For Musicares
Multitalented comedian-turned-actor Dane Cook, whose sophomore comedy album, Retaliation, was just certified platinum, will headline a performance at the world famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood on Dec. 16, 2005. Proceeds from the event will benefit the MusiCares Foundation, a charitable affiliate of The Recording Academy, which focuses on health and human services for the music community.
Cook is an electric performer who was recently named today's "Hot Comic" by Rolling Stone magazine. In addition to signing on with Lion's Gate Films for an upcoming project, he recently hosted "Saturday Night Live" and has made several memorable appearances on the late night talk show circuit. Retaliation, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, made him the highest- charting comedian in 27 years.
