Multi-Platinum Punks Simple Plan To Release Enhanced Live Album 'MTV Hard Rock Live' On October 04, 2005

Multi-platinum rockers Simple Plan are joining the ranks of rock n'roll greats with the release of their inaugural live album MTV Hard Rock Live. The album, which is scheduled for release on October 04, 2005, captures the five-piece punk superstars athletic, balls-to-the-wall live show. The only thing missing from the band's ultimate live recording are the kids crowd surfing and the lighters and cell phones which light up during the bands every show.

Simple Plan's first-ever completely live album was recorded earlier this year at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida, exclusively for MTV's Hard Rock Live series. The album features a total of thirteen tracks plus an acoustic bonus track of the band's forthcoming single "Crazy," whose studio version appears on the bands certified platinum sophomore set Still Not Getting Any... The album comes with a 12- page color booklet and is enhanced with live video footage of the tracks "Jump," "Shut Up!," and "Welcome To My Life."

In addition to the standard release, a special edition 'fan pack' will be available to satisfy die-hard Simple Plan fans. The fan pack contains the CD along with a 60 minute-plus bonus DVD featuring the entire Hard Rock Live concert. All songs on the DVD are recorded in 5.1 surround sound. The deluxe packaging also comes with a 32-page hard booklet, tour book and exclusive Simple Plan patch and pin. In addition, the fan pack also contains three bonus acoustic tracks of "Perfect," "Welcome To My Life," and "Crazy."

Simple Plan will be hitting the road this fall in support of Still Not Getting Any..., which has sold over 3 million copies worldwide. The tour is expected to hit major markets across the U.S. beginning in October, coinciding with the band's upcoming new single "Crazy." "Crazy" is expected to impact radio on October 4. Simple Plan continues to receive accolades for their current album including winning the trophy for Choice Rock Group at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards. The band was also nominated for three Juno Awards including Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Group of the Year.
