Musicnotes.com Sells One-Millionth Download
Madison, WI - August 18, 2005 - Musicnotes, Inc. announced today it has sold its 1,000,000th sheet music download, a little over a year after selling its 500,000th download. Download number one million was the song “Faithfully,” written by Jonathan Cain and performed by the group Journey. The $4.95 download was purchased by Jacob Henley of Pasadena, Texas. The first paid download at the Musicnotes.com web site occurred on November 3, 1999. This download of “Journey to the Past,” composed by Lynn Ahrens and Steven Flaherty, from the movie 'Anastasia,' marked the first important milestone for the company.
