CME Records Group Bows Debut Release By Christopher Michael
CME Records Group announces Christopher Michael's premiere album "Visions", the 6 song CD is a compilation of catchy hooks, meaningful and memorable lyrics, and stellar songwriting. Christopher Michael has been a multi-instrumental singer and songwriter since he fell in love with the guitar at age 17. Throughout his career, he paved the way for his success by writing, producing, and playing in bands with influential writers and prolific musicians including; Anthony Kryzan (Spin Doctors, Lenny Kravitz, Jimi Hendrix Experience, John Waite), Scott Mataxis (Prophet, Vixen). Writing and recording the "Visions" EP was a therapy for Christopher, as he dealt with issues of faith, death, depression, and loneliness. "Even though the CD deals with so-called dark issues," says Christopher, "it's not a depressing album. It's more of a 'therapy' thing with a positive vibe hoping for a better future." The crowd favorite and standout track #3, "Hi", with its thumping beat and implied lyrics makes you wonder if the title of the song was spelled correctly. Track #1, "Help Me Now", captures the feeling of helplessness in the world. It builds to a powerful, emotional ending crying, "God, Help Me Now" On my knees I surrender!", showcasing Christopher Michael's versatile voice. Track #2, "Time" can make one seriously ponder the short amount of time we have in life. Christopher is a member of The Songwriters Guild of America, and The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS/Grammy Awards). Although he has a wide musical range, his "Visions" CD has been compared to the likes of Matchbox 20 and Goo Goo Dolls meet Smashing Pumpkins and John Mayer with a sprinkle of punk. The "Visions" EP was produced by pros Anthony Kryzan and Dan Skye, is scheduled for a nationwide release late summer/early fall, but is available now at his website.
