Laurent Hubert Promoted To Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, BMG Music Publishing Worldwide
Hubert, who was previously Senior Vice President, continues to report directly to Firth. Both Firth and Hubert are based in BMG’s New York City headquarters. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Hubert will take on various corporate operations including IS&T, New Business Development, Communications and Strategic Planning, in addition to his present responsibilities for Classical and Printed Music, and Christian Music. “Laurent has been an important part of BMG Music Publishing’s management team,” said Firth. “I am confident that he will drive the company forward in his expanded role.” Hubert, who most recently Senior Vice President, International, has directed BMG Music Publishing’s worldwide new media strategies and successfully centralized its European Printed Music and Classical Rental operations. Prior to joining BMG Music Publishing in 2000, Hubert spent eight years in Marketing and Operations at Club Med. He holds a Masters degree in Management from l’Ecole Des Dirigeants & Createurs D’Entreprises in Paris and a Masters degree in International Affairs with a specialization in International Finance and Business from Columbia University in New York.
