The KU On The Attack With New Single 'Haunted Dancehall'
Website: http://www.kusha-deep-unlmited.com Music: http://www.kusha-deep-unlimited.com Rocking the gobal music scene with their debut single Haunted Dancehall taken from the album ‘From Sinners To Angels’ is one of the big vibes to hit this summer. The KU formed around producer and songwriter Darragh after he began recording the album last year. “I was working with other artists writing and producing records for them but feeling like I wanted to get back in the performing seat again.’ Darragh’s track record goes back to the 90’s after working with Chrysalis Records/EMI and various independent over the past 12 years, having hits with Bliss, Rachael Brown from Faithless and remixing every thing from Tears For Fears To Frankie Goes To Hollywood and now getting The KU ready to test drive. The first single from the album ‘Haunted Dancehall’ is a perfect genre blending of hip hop beats reggae bass-lines funky guitar riffs and a creamy vocal laid down by Darragh set off against some big dubby horn-lines. Alpha X, the supreme world music producer who has been a favourite on all the Buddah Bar releases has remixed the track creating a post club chill epic with a tint of Asian Underground flavour to it, perfect time off from your head music. The KU have also added some fierce break beat club remixes to the fray which should get club-lands attention when it’s released. Just to add some extra icing on the single there is also an acoustic cut of ‘Let Love B Your Religion’ recorded live last year in the UK to give you a little taster of what’s to come on the ‘Sinners To Angels’ album. The KU are currently signed to the Kusha Deep production label set up and run by Darragh in order to hold the reigns on the creative flow and keep the independent rebel flag flying. This has been helped by a hugely successful radio show called KDL hosted and produced by Darragh which has attracted a big American audience who have been supporting Kusha Deep releases such as the best of selection Majestic Retrospectives which feature a host of brilliant artists who have been involved in Kusha productions over the past 10 years. Gary Mason the Bristish Heavy-weight boxing champion is giving the single plenty of airplay on his new radio show on Rhythm365.com if you fancy tuning in to a heavyweight DJ with an appetite for big tunes.
