Usher To Host Special Screening Of The Extended Version Of His Mini-Movie "Rhythm City Volume 1: Caught Up" At 44 Regal Entertainment Group Theatres

Bookmark and Share

On the heels of his three GRAMMY wins and an electrifying performance at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards, Usher will hit the big screen live at 44 Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC) movie theatres across the country on Monday, February 21st at 9:00pm ET / 6:00pm PT.

This One Night Onlytm Big Screen ConcertSM event marks the theatrical debut of Usher's 20-minute mini-movie, "RHYTHM CITY VOLUME 1: CAUGHT UP" featuring his hits "Seduction," "Caught Up," "Red Light," and "Take Your Hand," from his #1 album, "Confessions." The in-theatre event will also feature an insider's look behind the scenes at the making of the movie, a live interview with Usher via satellite hosted by Lionel Richie, as well as a live, interactive session with Usher answering questions from pre-selected fans in attendance at movie theatres across the country.

"This event is going to be an amazing experience because it's so much more than just seeing my movie with behind-the scenes footage. I'll actually be talking live with my fans right after they've seen my movie, answering their questions," Usher explains. "It's a great way for me to reach out to my fans and thank them for their amazing support."

USHER'S RHYTHM CITY VOL 1: CAUGHT UP is presented by Regal CineMediaSM entertainment services and AEG-Live in High Definition and 5.1 audio. Advance tickets are available at select Regal, United Artists and Edwards* movie theatre box offices nationwide and online at www.BigScreenConcerts.com for $10.00. Event day tickets will also be available at box offices or online for $12.50.

Ush Entertainment, Laface Records/Zomba Label Group will release Usher's mini movie CAUGHT UP along with the behind the scenes footage on the DVD/CD combo release RHYTHM CITY VOLUME 1: CAUGHT UP on March 8, 2005. In addition to the fantastic live performance footage, the DVD/CD also includes the videos for "Yeah!," "Burn," "Confessions, PT II," "My Boo" (with Alicia Keys), and "Caught Up," as well as a bonus CD containing three new tracks.

2004 was a milestone year for Usher and established him as a musical superstar both in record and ticket sales. Released in March 2004, Usher's "Confessions" sold a record breaking 1.1 million copies in its first week, the highest ever R&B debut on the Billboard chart. By the end of the year, "Confessions" sold more then 8 million copies in the US, making it the year's top selling CD. Usher raked in an astounding 11 Billboard Awards and 3 GRAMMY Awards for this history-making album.
