Wes Borland Of Limp Bizkit Signs On With Ernie Ball

Guitarist Wes Borland returns to Limp Bizkit, and joins the Ernie Ball family of endorsed artist. Borland uses his own custom gage set of Slinkys: .11p,14p, 22w 32 42 .52.

Born in Nashville, a son of a minister, Borland became a member of Limp Bizkit in 1994 when Fred Durst approached him with the offer of starting a band. One of the most popular members of Limp Bizkit, Borland gained a reputation among fans for his wild stage antics and elaborate costumes. Borland toured with Limp Bizkit for seven years and in 2001, at the height of their success, quit Limp Bizkit to start another band, Eat the Day.

Borland returned to Limp Bizkit this past August. The band is currently recording a new album with producer Ross Robinson, which should be finished by Christmas. The latest album is expected to be a return to the hard style that won them acclaim in 1999.

Limp Bizkit music is an aggressive blend of rock and metal. Their second release Significant Other debuted at number one and sold more than four million copies. Nookie, the single from Significant Other, propelled Limp Bizkit to the top of the charts for three straight weeks.
