AOL Music First View Premieres New Animated Destiny's Child Video For "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"
Just in time for the holidays, AOL Music will exclusively premiere the new video from Grammy Award-winning artists Destiny's Child for their version of the holiday classic "Rudolph The Red- Nosed Reindeer." The video transports the super group to the North Pole and animates them with the same stop-motion techniques used in Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, the highest rated holiday special in television history. Destiny's Child recorded the single for an exclusive bonus CD included within the special 40th Anniversary Collector's Edition Rudolph DVD currently in stores from Classic Media and Sony Wonder. This premiere is part of the popular AOL Music First View program, which regularly debuts hotly anticipated new videos before they air anywhere else, including television. The premiere of Destiny's Child's video for "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer " will be available exclusively for 24 hours at www.aolmusic.com beginning Thursday, December 9th at 12:01 AM, (EST). Toronto- based Head Gear Animation was tapped to produce the music video and Cannes Palme d'Or- winning director Jesse Rosensweet helmed the project. The video opens with Destiny's Child in session at North Pole Studios where they are laying down the vocal tracks for "Rudolph." The camera tracks the superstars as they snowboard, meet "the most famous reindeer of all" and get down with Rudolph and other woodland creatures in a slammin' dance break. Since 1964, more than 100 million families have tuned in annually to watch the most famous reindeer of all in the holiday television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The title song is one of the most popular holiday tunes of all time. Destiny's Child joins the ranks of some of the best loved recording artists in history, including Gene Autry, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, The Supremes and Harry Connick Jr. who have covered the 1949 hit by Johnny Marks.
