Sarah Michelle Gellar To Guest Star At The MTV Europe Music Awards 2004 And 'MTV At The Coliseum'
Celebrated actress Sarah Michelle Gellar will be a special guest presenter at the 'MTV Europe Music Awards 2004' and 'MTV At The Coliseum', it was announced today. Joining Sarah Michelle and ceremony host Xzibit on stage in Rome on November 18th will be Natasha Bedingfield, Italian football superstar Paolo di Canio, 24 actress Elisha Cuthbert, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, rapper/producer Kanye West and Linkin Park vocalist and DJ/Turntablist Chester Bonnington and Joseph Hahn, all of whom are confirmed to dish out the gongs at the prestigious ceremony. Other celebrity presenters previously confirmed include Jamelia, Naomi Campbell, The Black Eyed Peas, Eamon, The Cure's Robert Smith, Brian Molko, Brian McFadden, Amy Lee from Evanescence and AJ McLean and Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys. Pop superstar Anastacia has also been confirmed as the latest addition to the glittering line-up of live performers at the MTV Europe Music Awards, joining previously confirmed acts Eminem, Gwen Stefani, Franz Ferdinand, Usher and Alicia Keys, The Beastie Boys, The Hives, Nelly and Maroon 5. More performers and presenters are still to be announced! You can see the MTV Europe Music Awards 2004 live-and-as-they-happen from Rome on MTV UK at 8pm on Thursday 18th November. In addition it has been confirmed that The Cure will be amongst the artists to perform live at 'MTV At The Coliseum' - a free public show to be held simultaneously with the MTV Europe Music Awards. The show takes place by Rome's ancient amphitheatre and will also feature live appearances from local Italian acts Elisa and Carmen Consoli. The Cure's performance will be broadcast live as part of the 'MTV Countdown Show' at 7pm that same night. 'The MTV Countdown Show' will capture all the excitement of the build up to the Awards ceremonies, plus all the glamour of the red carpet arrivals. Discovered by a talent agent at the tender age of 4, Sarah Michelle Gellar has carved an incredible career in film and on TV in the past two decades. Now one of the most popular actresses in the world today, the Buffy The Vampire Slayer star has also conquered the film world with acclaimed roles in I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Scooby Doo, Cruel Intentions - and the horror smash of 2004, The Grudge. Raised in New York City, Anastacia has conquered the pop world in the past four years with a series of smash hit singles, including Not That Kind, I'm Outta Love and Left Outside Alone. Famed for her extraordinary vocal talents and original style, Anastacia will bring a typically show-stopping performance to The MTV Europe Music Awards 2004.
