Musictech College is bridging the continental gap in the modern music industry by opening the first college of American popular music in Europe next Fall. McNally Smith College of Music, named for Musictech co-founders Jack McNally and Doug Smith, will be located at the Media Docks in Lubeck, Germany -- one of Europe's most advanced media facilities.

"Popular music has become a global industry and we have seen significant interest from Europe in our college programs in the U.S.," said Jack McNally, President of Musictech College. "We want to make the global music industry more accessible to European students and create greater opportunities for them to play a part in the future of music."

The McNally Smith International Music Business Program in Lubeck gives students an in-depth introduction to the music business with top instructors from the college's U.S. campus and select leaders in the European music industry. Coursework will range from contract law to entrepreneurship, and students can take elective coursework in Recording, Music Production, Applied Music, and Songwriting.

Students at McNally Smith Europe also have the opportunity to study at Musictech College in the U.S. This exchange program gives students greater access to the global music industry and the opportunity to further broaden their studies with diverse elective classes offered in the U.S. In addition, Musictech College students will have the opportunity to study in Lubeck for one or more semesters.

Musictech College is one of America's finest centers for the study of music performance, music business, recording technology and multimedia arts. More than 400 students are currently enrolled at Musictech College and students have access to one of the most advanced recording studio complexes with the latest analog and digital gear.

Musictech College faculty is among the top players, business, media, recording, and production professionals in America. Members of the Musictech faculty include gold and platinum record engineers, songwriters for GRAMMY winning albums and musicians who have performed with Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Babyface, James Taylor, Aretha Franklin, Steve Miller, Prince, Bobby McFerrin, Jonny Lang, Yo Yo Ma, and many others. Instructors in the Music Business Department include former executives from A&M Records, BMG, and Sony Music.
