RadioDevil Broadcasts Worldwide Music Events
The One World Beat music festival on March 19-21 2004 is an opportunity for local musicians and bands to participate in a global charity project and make a real difference with their music. United artists perform in music venues around the world. Proceeds are donated to an AIDS project selected by One World Beat.
The One World Beat global music festival is not just a fusion of music styles from all around the world—it is also a platform for different methods of artist presentation. Several One World Beat events, including concerts in England, Spain and Australia, will be broadcast live on the Internet. With the help of RadioDevil, New York rock artist Larry Edoff is taking music's technical revolution a few steps further. RadioDevil will work with Larry to stage a three-day, One World Beat Internet radio broadcast.
Larry Edoff is an introspective and dynamic musician, whose dedication to music has brought him distinction as an original and successful singer/songwriter, composer and pianist. He studied voice, piano and composition at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and later studied orchestration with world-renowned composer John Corigliano. In addition, Larry holds an MA in Music Education/Composition.
Larry's interest in world music and rhythms took him to Ghana, West Africa, to study percussion among the Ewe people, to Havana, Cuba and to Bahia, Brazil to expand his rhythmic vocabulary. In the summer of 2001, his band BAO toured extensively throughout Greece, and while he was there, Larry performed at a 12th-century fortress on the island of Corfu.
Larry’s song “Love” is the official song for LoveProjects and part of the UNESCO-endorsed project, New Songs for Peace. In 2004 More Than I, a song from his new CD, In Subtle Tones, was included in the New Songs for Peace Project as well. With its powerful message about unity, it is a welcome addition to that project, which makes a contribution to world peace through the musical expression of international artists. Now Larry’s song “15 Time” from his latest release “In Subtle Tones” has been appointed the official song for the RadioDevil Event broadcasted worldwide.
During the three-day event music fans all over the world will be able to listen and participate in this event over the Internet. Contributing independent artists will work with RadioDevil, providing music downloads, music CDs, and other promotional materials for the fundraising event as giveaways and online auctions.
RadioDevil is also always looking for additional sponsors to contribute services and merchandise. RadioDevil has received numerous of promotional materials and rights to sell music downloads to benefit the One World Event through their recently added “Weed” system offering “Pay Per Download”. CEO James Wilson states “With an event of this magnitude and great importance, RadioDevil can never have enough artists, labels, and personalities offering their talents and services to such an important cause.”
Listeners will be able to make donations via the RadioDevil website, chat with participants; listen to live concert feeds and interviews worldwide. In addition RadioDevil will offer a wide selection of promotional items as thank-you gifts, incentives and auction goods for those who wish to make larger donations. Participating artists, sponsors and the general public are encouraged to place a link on their websites to announce the event and assist in the promotion of this International event being hosted on RadioDevil.Com.
