LOS ANGELES CA: “My focus for song writing has always been to write about what is real, we can all experience so many different emotions of love, heart break, pain, joy and to mirror the wonder and magic of life” states Steve Rodgers about is upcoming debut album release. “I hope that this album creates the same feeling in the listener.”

“Head Up High” was produced in the United Kingdom by Ken Nelson at Elevator Studios in Liverpool as well as at his home studio and mixed by Grammy winning engineer Adrian Bushby. “I was very impressed by his voice and song writing abilities and was delighted to get involved on a creative level in the studio with him and his band” states the Grammy winning producer. “Steve is a very accomplished multi-instrumentalist and is fantastic playing live” Nelson further states. Bushby added stating about Rodgers talents; "A pleasure to work on, great songs, great production, what more can you ask for!”

On his debut album, Steve comfortably wraps his unmistakable voice around profoundly expressive themes in timeless songs of spine-tingling emotions. From the album opener ‘I Will Grow’ with its haunting groove to the title track, “Head Up High” Steve displays a distinctive melodic flair throughout; a poetic yet conversational style of musicianship and songs that carve out a uniquely elegant space in the musical landscape.
Rodgers is well known in the UK as a successful musician and live performances. At age 17, Steve started a band 'Lost Sons of Davros' followed by the band Boa with his sister Jasmine and created two great albums. Their first single 'Duvet' was the title track to the Japanese multi award- winning animation series Manga 'Lain - Serial Xperiments'. They toured the States, the UK and after a period of musical enjoyment, Steve decided to follow his own path.
Rodgers has opened for such notable bands and artists as Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joe Walsh, Aerosmith's Joe Perry and the Robert Randolph Band. Tours have included support slots for Bad Company in the UK Japan, and the United States, as well as his own headline dates in the UK and Canada. Steve has also supported The Deborah Bonham Band and Midge Ure on their respective tours in the UK and Europe and in 2015 joined Stackridge for a three month tour of the UK. To coincide with this tour, Steve and his father Paul also recorded a single together to raise money for a charity up in Middlesbrough UK called ‘This Place Called Home.”
