LULLWATER PAYS TRIBUTE TO PEARL JAM BY UNVEILING RIVETING RENDITION OF “RELEASE” & NEW EP

On the heels of Pearl Jam’s highly anticipated Hall of Fame induction, alt rockers Lullwater are paying homage to the musical legends by unveiling their rendition of “Release”, which has been specially packaged with a brand new EP. The critically-acclaimed band will also debut a riveting video for the single featuring live footage of Hall of Fame Inductee/Former Pearl Jam Drummer Dave Krusen and Multi-Platinum Selling Singer Kevin Martin of Candlebox performing “Release” with them while on tour last year.

Available starting Friday, April 7, to coincide with Pearl Jam’s Hall of Fame induction, “Release” was recorded at London Bridge Studios in Seattle in March 2013. Lullwater also recorded their self-titled album there in 2011 and, according to John Strickland, lead vocalist and guitarist for Lullwater, the band chose to record the single at the same studio after falling in love with its history.

“It was such a surreal experience for us playing and recording one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs in the same studio that they recorded Ten. ‘Release’ has always been a song that when I hear it and even perform it, I get chill bumps and feel emotional”, he said.

The Seattle Sessions EP that Lullwater is offering fans with the single features five songs that the band recorded in March 2013 and it will be free to anyone who downloads the “Release” track from any of Lullwater’s multiple digital platforms, including https://soundcloud.com/lullwater/release.

The video featuring Krusen, who played on the iconic Ten album, and Martin is available starting April 7 at https://soundcloud.com/lullwater/release and was engineered by Justin Davis.

“To record ‘Release’ in Seattle in the same studio it was originally recorded in and perform it live with such amazing musicians as Kevin Martin and Dave Krusen, is one of the most amazing experiences of my life and humbling to say the least,” said Strickland. “This is why we love what we do. We’re all fans of music and as corny as it may sound, sometimes dreams can come true and with the whole experience of ‘Release’, it definitely did for me. “
