Breakout singer/songwriter Brielle Von Hugel, who has amassed nearly three million hits in less than three weeks with her “Dangerous Woman” cover on Facebook, has signed a recording contract with F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records. Having been spotlighted at the age of 16 as a Top 12 girls’ semi-finalist on season 11 of American Idol, Von Hugel’s soulful, emotive style gives her a distinct connection with her audience and has caused her popularity to soar.

With over 2 million views amassed on her YouTube channel, Von Hugel continues to ride high on the success and popularity that she’s increasingly gained from her viral cover songs. The budding starlet is elated to have just signed a recording contract with F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records, in collaboration with TE Music Group, in order to bring her talent to the forefront of the music scene. Von Hugel is set to drop her sophomore EP later this year headlining with her first single, “Stronger (Growing Pains)”.

"I’m ecstatic to start my journey with F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records,” says Von Hugel. “It's an incredible feeling to know that you have a team of amazing people who believe in you and are by your side. We're ready for this!"

The newly-launched F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records plans to sign unique talent and spearhead out-of-the-box campaigns. As a label that knows good music, the executives are using a critical ear to handpick artists who are extraordinarily gifted.

“I very rarely encounter a music artist that possesses the ‘total package,’” says F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records executive and industry veteran Tim “Dawg” Patterson. “Normally they come lacking in certain areas. Five minutes into listening to Brielle, I knew F.R.E.E.D.O.M. struck gold! Brielle Von Hugel is the ‘Total Package!’"

Brielle’s vocal style can be described as modern-day vintage. Most recently she’s added her smoky vocals to Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox as a brilliant feature, which has further gained her recognition from fans across the globe. Her press spotlights include outlets such as Good Day New York, Billboard.com, RyanSeacrest.com and Mashable.com among others, positioning her as being the next artist to take the music scene by storm.

ABOUT BRIELLE VON HUGEL:

Brielle Von Hugel's dynamic, soulful, emotive voice and personality can be described as modern-day vintage. This singer/songwriter mixes pop-edge with yesterday’s bluesy, smoky tones to give her musical storytelling grit—unapologetically honest and straightforward—commanding her audience to not just listen—but to feel. Brielle brings refreshment back into pop music, where her singing takes center stage underlining her reputation amongst her contemporaries as a voice to be reckoned with. Her powerful pipes have garnered her multiple television and press appearances, such as: FOX’s Good Day New York, INDUSTRY Magazine, and various fundraisers including the March of Dimes, the TEAL Walk, and the Steven Siller Foundation. At age 16, Brielle was one of the Top 12 Girls’ semi-finalists on Season 11 of American Idol. Brielle’s YouTube videos have amassed over 2 million views, reinforcing her popularity and mounting fan base. These videos, which showcase her myriad of talents, received spotlight attention from Billboard.com, Mashable, RyanSeacrest.com, Hollywood Gossip, Philip Phillips, and Haley Williams of Paramore. Her recent collaboration with Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox has further gained her recognition and kudos from fans across the globe with Bradlee giving a firm nod to Brielle: “She has a rare gift as a vocalist to combine old and new and still connect with the audience." Brielle’s music is a soul journey—through her work and everyday life she encourages her fans to be themselves and not to judge others. A lyric from her future release, “Stereo" summarizes how Brielle—through her music—practices what she preaches, of how she's been liberated from the confines of conformity and secured wings of her own: “I’m not better, I’m just different.” And so, she continues to soar. In collaboration with TE Music Group & F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records, Brielle is currently in the studio working on her sophomore EP with its release planned later this year.

ABOUT F.R.E.E.D.O.M. RECORDS:

F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records stands for Forever Reaching Excellence Expressing Dreams Over Music. The mission of F.R.E.E.D.O.M. Records is to fearlessly pursue and develop extraordinary entertainment for the worldwide market while becoming synonymous with artist equality, integrity, and innovation within the music industry.
