Percussion has always been the backbone of modern day music, adding a step in your rhythm and a thump in your chest. It takes a musically deft person to really carry out the beat and establish where the song is going. That is why young drummer and rising star Justin Charney is turning so many heads and taking the industry by storm. At the young age of 12, the Canadian musician already has made a name for himself, having numerous sponsorship deals while maintaining a prevalent presence in YouTube by racking up hundreds of thousands of views. What makes Charney an impressive musician is that at only 20 months of picking up the drums, he already garnered so much attention in the music industry. So it comes to no surprise that his latest endeavor, a music video entitled "Born To live", can prove to be just as successful.

Justin Charney new music video "Born to live" is a musical showcase, displaying his drumming skills and talent. "Born To Live" has a hard hitting, hip-hop feel to it, perfect for Charney to showcase his dexterity by playing alongside the track and adding his own flare to the song. The music video is set in a high-end studio where Justin Charney can flourish and jam out to music. The video has an interesting use of camera angels, giving an up close and personal feel to how he plays the drums, often times switching from a frontal view of the drum set to zooming in on the bottom, as to give a feeling that he is larger than life. The simplicity of the theme of the video makes room for Justin to play at his best and focus on his talent, ultimately giving him the spotlight to shine.

"Born To Live" comes in with a bang, and Justin Charney is leading the way with his drums. The music video is part of a slew of other videos where Charney showcases his drumming abilities to other songs. However "Born To Live" has his staple, signature sound that proves why he is a force to be reckoned with. With time to still grow, the thought that Justin Charney is still young strikes a vibrant chord in music fans that he could become something even bigger than he is now.
