GO FOR THE EYES READY TO TAKE ON 2013 WITH NEW EP, CANADIAN MUSIC FEST & SUMMER TOURING
For Immediate Release: February 20, 2013; Toronto, ON; Calgary's Go For The Eyes exploded onto the Alberta music scene in 2008 and have since recorded an album and 2 EPs. The latest Six Through Twelve will be released on March 31, 2013. Blessed with a DIY work ethic, infectious stage energy and an ever-increasing fan base, the band will embark on their third Canadian tour next month which will include their second appearance at Canadian Music Week on March 23rd. Go For The Eyes, consisting of vocalist/guitarist Jeff Turner, vocalist/keyboardist Elise Roller, drummer Nathan Raboud and bassist Scott Perrin, were honored when the video for "Leave Me With Today" was picked up by video revolutionaries OK Go for their summer camp blog in 2012. After recording Go For The Eyes and One Through Four in a home studio, the band is progressing by working with producer Kirill Telichev at Sound Priory Studios on the new ep Six Through Twelve. The band is well known in the Calgary music scene for their dynamic stage presence, highly entertaining live shows and for consistently packing local venues including holding the record at The Gateway for highest attendance at any local CD release. With influences such as Arctic Monkeys, Band of Skulls, The Dead Weather, Queens of the Stone Age, The Sheepdogs and Mars Volta, Go For The Eyes are sure to impress venues and audiences from coast to coast.
