MELISSA BROOKE NOMINATED FOR “NEW FEMALE VOCALIST,” IN TEXAS REGIONAL RADIO MUSIC AWARDS! BROOKE HAS BLAZED A NEW TRAIL IN TEXAS MUSIC! FORT WORTH, TX (February 15, 2013) –Melissa Brooke was excited to receive the news that she had been named as a finalist for “New Female Vocalist,” in the Texas Regional Radio Awards. “I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news,” said Melissa, “I want to thank everyone for voting for me and supporting my music.” Fans can help her win by going on line at www.trrma.net to vote in the final round until February 28. She burst onto the Texas Music scene with her first single, “Sticky Situation,” that went top 30. Her second single, “Texas Rubye,” is currently climbing the charts. Her debut album was just released on iTunes. Melissa grew in in the Burleson/Crowley area South of Fort Worth. She currently lives in Port Aransas, TX where she began singing around the beach community and writing songs. Brooke grew up being a true cowgirl riding horses, 4-wheelers and listening to classic Country Music on her peepaw’s ranch. Melissa decided it was time to record her own record after encouragement from the success of her live shows. She went into the studio at BGM Studios in San Antonio with producer Bill Green to create a record that features songs with Melissa’s own unique vocal styling. She recut Chris LeDoux’s classic, “Cadillac Cowboy.” The young cowgirl got to perform that song and others at National Finals Rodeo activities in Las Vegas in December. Brooke has been maintaining a busy touring schedule around Texas. Melissa is looking forward to attending the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards on April 21, 2013.
