Sunset Urban Signs Three New Acts Through A Production And Distribution Deal With Capella Entertainment.

JL, Raynita J and Taya Jae' and Cappella to release their albums this year with Sunset (Urban). New Jersey rap sensation Jonell “Jl Makin Movies” Brown professionally know simply as JL, is starting to create a major buzz with his leaked first single, “Drop It Low.” The song also features hiphop artist, VeeA along with other label mate and rapper, Taya Jae.' The latter named artist will be working in the studio starting this month to complete her full length album slated for release this year with the newest Staff A&R Producer now working with Sunset (Urban), Anthony Ratliff, at the studio he founded in north Virginia just outside of Washington DC. LiveWire, JL's upcoming debut album is being set up for late April / May or springtime release to stores all over the world. The music video and the first single (“Drop It Low”) are already being promoted at places that play music videos and at major radio stations all over the world. Raynita J, the third of the Capella signings to Sunset (Urban) is a Neo Soul R&B artist that also recorded at the world world renowned Capella Studios. "We're excited to kill many birds with one stone so to speak, to not only have closed this deal with Anthony (Ratliff) and his production company to release such young talent like JL, Taya (Jae') and Raynita (J) to the Sunset family," said Don Lichterman, the head of Sunset. "Sunset Urban is proud to be one of the top Indy labels keeping to hip-hop's roots, while at the same time, growing to be the colorful record label with one goal in life; to develop to break new artists.” (Don) Lichterman continues to say that Capella's first release with JL, is the strong and innovative music we want at Sunset Urban.” “We are very excited to start working his music, and we are looking to merely expand on the basis of the already huge buzz Anthony and his team has built leading up tome hearing that song." Capella Recording Studios opened its doors officially in 2006. The studio has vastly grown to provide the world of music and recording industry impeccable productions with his great sound quality recordings and the studio provides rehearsal spaces for artists doing pre production or for music artists ready to hit the road to go on tour. The studio was founded by Anthony Ratliff, who (Don) Lichterman is now calling a Sunset Urban A&R Staff Producer. (Anthony) Ratliff is an accomplished musician while racking up more than 20 years of experience doing production and engineer work. His (Anthony Ratliff) state-of-the-art Capella Recording Studios is located just outside of Washington DC, is a facility that has large rooms, large recording area with very comfortable lounge areas allowing anyone in that recording process, to feel right at home comfortable as can be during any recording. Sunset is looking to hire staff people this year and (Don) Lichterman says that he is “very slow to hire” and that “working people into my system this way as an Staff A&R Producer will prove to make things as fail safe as things can be in such a situation while it also will grow loyalties between all of us in very natural ways.” Capella has already shown the ability to deliver three (3) top music acts to the label that will all be released this year. About Sunset Urban Sunset Urban began by picking up the Gina Thompson, Missing You EP CD (with Blue Mountain) in early 2009, and had since brought the first single to being #1 at Musica Urbana (Music Choice) and in the top 25 at major FM Radio (WZZA). Sunset Urban is a subsidiary of the Sunset Distribution Company. Headed by Chairman and Founder Don Lichterman, Sunset Urban has distribution deals with Bomb Baby (e(dot) Milz, Pre Daily), Blackhawk / Capella (JL, Raynita J, and Taya Jae), and Blue Mountai (Gina Thompson), the label continues to release an array of colorful hiphop music, hardcore rap music, Dance, R&B and soundtrack CDs.
