Strategic Cooperation Between MEIZU And China Unicom: MX2 On Contract Released

Bookmark and Share
China Unicom and MEIZU Technology held the Release Conference for Strategic Cooperation between China Unicom WO 3G & MEIZU MX2 at China Unicom's headquarters. Joining hands together, they are creating a new prospect for the ultra-fast mobile life in 2013.

With its powerful hardware configuration, world-class design and workmanship, MEIZU MX2 is praised as "the best MEIZU phone ever". China Unicom owns the widest 3G coverage and the biggest user group, and its 3G network tops its counterparts with the ultra-fast data rate of 21 Mbit/s. The best smartphone plus the fastest network, along with the price advantage of the free phone deal, is certain to rock the market with ultra-fast smart experience.

The Dream Work: MEIZU MX2
As the latest flagship of MEIZU, MX2 has caught the eyes and won praises from both media and users once it was unveiled. It is the best product that MEIZU has ever made, and also one of the best China home-grown smartphones which support the 21M HSPA+ network of China Unicom. Its minimalistic and perfect appearance, the slimmest bezel worldwide, the stunning HD+ display, the advancing hardware and the excellent Flyme software system, receive unprecedented public acclaim and evoke a wave of enthusiasm. MX2 weaves its hardware, software and cloud services into a comprehensive system, which makes it more than a 3G phone, but a genuine "mobile internet smartphone".

Ultra-fast 3G: China Unicom
For smartphone users, the on-contract MX2 not only provides extraordinary "smart" experience, but also takes them into the ultra-fast "smart" life with the benefit of China Unicom's 21M HSPA+ 3G network.

China Unicom's WCDMA is the fastest 3G network in the world at present. It uses the enhanced HSPA+ 3G technology and supports a broader range of service data transmission at a higher rate, which goes up to 21 Mbps. For example, when MEIZU MX2 plays an online HD video, which requires high data rate greatly and likely gets stuck otherwise, the progress bar goes ideally and you can go through the whole movie smoothly. Moreover, the experience of browsing, downloading, and emailing is also extremely pleasant with the support of Flyme 2.0.

Ms. Zhou Youmeng, General Manager of Marketing Department, China Unicom, said at the conference, "China Unicom defines MEIZU MX2 as our 'strategic cooperative machine' in 2013. We hold great expectation for this cooperation."

China Unicom announced at the event, MEIZU MX2 would go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on January 23, 2013. By that time, customers can buy the machine on contract at Unicom website 1001.com, any of the 408 MEIZU retail stores, 360buy, Sunning, Funtalk, Dixintong, Huajishijie, Huimai100, Holpe, Jietong, Huasheng etc. China Unicom offers highly cost-effective contract deals for MEIZU MX2, including free phone deals and bonus credit deals. In a free phone deal, users get the phone for free, on condition of a two-year contract of ¥226 per month and ¥2699 prepaid, or a three-year contract of ¥156 per month and ¥2699 prepaid. In a bonus credit deal, the phone is sold at ¥2699 with a two-year contract of at least ¥66 per month, and users can get bonus credits topping at ¥5800.

Meanwhile, China Unicom also introduces favorable policies for MEIZU's loyal users, who are called Meiyou (friends of MEIZU). These policies includes: free phones for new Unicom users, free phones for existing Unicom users without changing numbers, bonus credits for MX2 users accessing Unicom's network, exclusive segment numbers and preferential VPN offers for Meiyou, 3G traffic package for traffic-consuming users etc. All these are about to make Meiyou whoa, as intended by Dream in WO.

Faster & better, Dream in WO

CEO of MEIZU Technology, Mr. Bai Yongxiang said, "The days when mobile phone manufacturers simply competed in hardware have gone, and an era for user experience, design and technology side-by-side is coming. MX2 is exactly a positive model for such quality of the new era. With the great speed advantage of China Unicom's 3G network, MX2 is bound to bring our users faster and better experience of the smart life." He also said that MEIZU would enhance the strategic cooperation with China Unicom from multiple aspects. In the future, all MEIZU retail stores will connect to the Unicom ESS system and become an important channel for the promotion of contract sales and the development of Unicom business.

The release of MEIZU MX2 on Unicom contract is bound to influence the smartphone market profoundly. MEIZU MX2 has set up new standards for the industry in technology development, visual design and channel building.
