OAK STREET BLUES RELEASED TWO HOLIDAY SINGLES TODAY, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18
Tracks “Marry Me Christmas” and “Santa Teach Me How to Dance” Available Now! Los Angeles, CA, December 18, 2012 –Pasadena, California-based trio Oak Street Blues releases two original holiday tracks, “Marry Me Christmas” and “Santa Teach Me How to Dance,” digitally today, Tuesday, December 18, through their own label, Slo Mo Records. Both tracks are available now on iTunes (http://bit.ly/T5GRu1). “The idea for the song ‘Marry Me Christmas’ just came from the phrase Merry Christmas,” said band frontman Chris Hall. “Just slip an ‘a’ in there and you got Marry Christmas, and a new OSB song. With that in mind, I just wrote about how nice it is to be with someone for the holidays. It’s a little more of an organic sound compared to the tracks on our new album, but still has the Oak Street catchy pop sound.” Earlier this year the band released a full-length album entitled Waiting For Something, which features 10 love-infused tracks written by the band. Fans can purchase the album directly on any major digital retail outlet such as iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. Since the formation of Oak Street Blues in 2009, the band have become known for their unique mix of traditional country and alternative rock combined with elements of electronic and pop. Their music is designed to be fun and lively for their fans, but their live shows are entertaining and amusing and sometimes a bit over the top. Oak Street Blues is founder/frontman/guitarist Chris Hall, Jenny Arias on bass and ukulele and Desiree “Crazy Legs” Gonzalez on keyboards. Currently, the group is playing their live shows in and around Southern California. See below for specific dates.
