FATdrop opens Berlin subsidiary and announces new team members
FATdrop Ltd., a leading provider of digital music promotion tools based in Brighton/UK, announces the foundation of its new, Berlin-based subsidiary FATdrop GmbH.
FATdrop GmbH will provide a range of different services to the company´s international online business. These services include customer support, sales, marketing and product management services.
FATdrop GmbH will be managed by FATdrop co-founder Alex Stacey. His team in Berlin includes Customer Support Manager Dylan Richards, also known under his „King Cannibal“ guise as a Ninja Tune recording artist, as well as a number of experienced new team members with backgrounds in various areas of the digital music industry.
Sascha Lazimbat has been active as a consultant to FATdrop since July 2012. In his previous career, Sascha was Vodafone Germany´s Head of Music & Video and co-founded leading digital distributor Zebralution, which in 2007 was acquired by Warner Music Group, where as Managing Director Business & Corporate Development Sascha was responsible for the company´s 360° strategy in Central and Eastern Europe. After successfully establishing an e-book distribution service with the WMG subsidiary, Sascha continues to advise Zebralution in the publishing sector.
Ronny Krieger joins the company as International Director of Sales. His previous positions include promotion at distributor Efa as well as label management at techno label Kanzleramt, but he may be best known in the industry as VP Content and CPO of leading electronic music download store Beatport. Ronny has recently been elected Vice-Chairmen of German independent label association VUT. He continues to advice the Monkeytown and 50 Weapons labels run by producer team Modeselektor.
Reporting to Ronny, Michelle Owen has joined the company as a Sales Manager. Her professional experience in the digital and electronic music industry includes work at Beatport and Native Instruments. Michelle, originally hailing from Australia, is also a DJ and producer, playing at clubs like Panorama Bar and Watergate.
Label Rep Mai Harper, originally hailing from Brighton, is also a new member of the Berlin team. In addition to her work at FATdrop, she runs the One4ho label imprint. Mai has a degree in Law and experience in various marketing roles.
