Stars And Rabbit + L'alphalpha Join The Figure8 Roster
Figure8 Agency is thrilled to announce that Indonesian acts Stars and Rabbit and L'alphalpha have joined the Figure8 family. Figure8 Agency will represent these two bands as their international booking agent, as part of our mission to highlight the brightest of the region's musical talents on an international level. Aside from Stars and Rabbit and L'alphalpha, Figure8 Agency's roster also includes The Trees and The Wild, Tenderfist and White Shoes & The Couples Company.
Stars and Rabbit (acoustic/folk)
Stars and Rabbit is a folk music duo from Yogyakarta, Indonesia comprising of singer-songwriter Elda Suryani and arranger Adi Widodo. After the dissolution of a string of individual musical projects, the duo finally came together in 2011 to commence their spellbinding musical storytelling with their new project, Stars and Rabbit. Melding pop and folk influences in their music, with Elda's charming vocal poetry and Adi's introspective guitar-strumming, Stars and Rabbit's approach to composition, arrangement and performance showcase a sense of raw simplicity, resulting in an arrestingly unique sound that will resonate in your heart.
L'alphalpha (post-rock)
L'alphalpha hails from the bustling city of Jakarta, Indonesia but the sprawling, cinematic quality of their music evokes lush landscapes of greener pastures. Made up of singer-guitarist Herald Reynaldo, bass guitarist Yudishtira Mahendra, synthesizer player Citra Winitya, drummer Ildo Reynardian, pianist Byatriasa Ega and violist Purusha Irma, the sextet blend their musical inspirations into a strikingly cathartic mix featuring elements of indie pop/rock, post-rock and shoegaze.
