Slow Boat Brewery Opens Permanent Taproom In Dongsi

Bookmark and Share
We are very excited to announce the opening of our permanent Slow Boat Brewery Taproom in the Dongsi neighborhood on December 15th. Our Taproom will be host to the largest selection of beers on tap in Beijing. Beer lovers can now venture to one location to try the full range of our brews and learn what Slow Boat is all about.

The Concept:
The Slow Boat Brewery Taproom is a comfortable public meeting place where people can enjoy the company of old friends or go to meet new acquaintances, all in a hutong atmosphere. Heated hardwood floors, 100 year old Elm wood bar, and handmade furniture will keep guests comfortable during even the coldest of winter months. Although the focus of any Taproom is undoubtedly on beer, the Slow Boat Brewery Taproom will also be serving a limited range of other refreshments, including a few made with our own handmade sodas. Food will also be available.

The Beer:
The design of our Taproom emphasizes fresh handcrafted beer. 20 taps along one wall will draw beer directly from our walk-in cooler, which will keep the beers at a constant 3 degrees Celsius. The full range of Slow Boat beers will be on tap including many that can't be found on tap elsewhere. Due to its size and design, the Slow Boat Brewery Taproom will be one of a kind for Beijing.

What's Nearby?
Located on a tree-lined hutong, the Slow Boat Brewery Taproom is short walk from both the Zhangzizhonglu and Dongsishitiao subway stops and conveniently situated between the Sanlitun and Gulou neighborhoods. The surrounding area boasts popular spots like Crescent Moon, Red Capital Club, and the famous Wu Ge Ji Chi (五哥鸡翅). For music lovers, Yugong Yishan is just around the corner.

Upcoming Activities:
On December 1st Slow Boat will release a calendar of events for the upcoming months. In addition to our regularly scheduled events, the Taproom will also be available for private parties and events.

Whether you've been a beer lover for years or are just now acquiring a taste for craft beer, everyone is invited to join us at the Taproom for a relaxed evening of delicious brews and good company. Our taps will start pouring beer on December 15th.
