Christmas Jam To Aid Utah’s Homeless

The Christmas season kindles the desire help others less fortunate than ourselves and ignites a joy that can only be found when surrounded by friends and loved ones. For the past two years, Utah musicians have utilized their talents to raise awareness for The Road Home homeless shelter through a rock concert series called Christmas Jam. Now in its third year, Christmas Jam boasts a large lineup of talented Utah musicians performing entertaining rock concerts for the whole family to celebrate Christmas music and help those in need. Tickets are $10 in advance at www.24tix.com, $15 at the door, one child under 12 years admitted free per paying adult with additional children $5 each. Show times are 7pm on Thursday, December 13th and Friday, December 14th and 3pm and 7pm on Saturday, December 15th, 2012. All shows held at One Mind Studio located at 216 Paxton Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah.

There has been an outpouring of interest by Utah musicians to participate in the Christmas Jam this year. “It’s heartwarming to see the interest and enthusiasm from so many artists to help with the event and support The Road Home.” says Troy Fillmore, General Manager of Christmas Jam. Past audiences have raved about the Christmas Jam experience and this year promises not to disappoint. The 2012 lineup of vocalists consists of Chris Coffin of Cirkus, Jeddie Duffey of Opal Hill Drive, Robert Eacret of Veign, J. “Jake” Elwell of 66 & Main, Marie Estrada and Juli Holt of Disco Inferno, Madeline Gilbert of Nopium, Tommy Love of Dirty Loveguns, Tammy McNeil of Cattledrive, Neil Ohmie of Heartbreak Hangover, Peter Van Horn of Werewolf-Afro, Shar Wood of Hostage, James Woods of Supersofar, as well as Kaelee Smith, Lauren Maquel Smith, Teirsa Smith, Stephanie Sala and Kevin Stitt. Musical accompaniment by Brad Dahl and Emily Johnson on bass guitar, Mike Thiriot, Randy Johnson, Kurt Johnson and Tim Smith on guitars, Ben Mayfield, David Slack, and Joanna Johnson on keyboards, and Dan Smith and Yancy Turner on drums.
