Bill Madison Releases Specially Recorded Track To Help The Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
Aurovine are delighted to announce that they are fully supporting an initiative by US based Singer/Songwriter Bill Madison in raising monies for the Hurricane Sandy relief fund. Bill has been working with the American Red Cross to co-ordinate the project and has recorded a special acoustic version of his song 'Shadows On The Wind'. The original full production version is also available. Both tracks are in wav, flac or mp3 format and by purchasing one or both downloads, the money raised will go directly to the American Red Cross Disaster Fund/Sandy Relief Fund. Visit Bill's Sandy Relief Page here to hear the songs and find out more. Having seen many hurricanes affect his local state of Florida, Bill wrote the song from first hand experience. Inspired by the storms that have ravaged this country over the years and how people need to come together to overcome both natural and human adversities. The lyrics seem appropriately pertinent in the wake of Hurricane Sandy: "Storm clouds flood – firestorms blaze Tornados twist and hurricanes rage Destroying our homes, land and lives Helping one another keeps us alive" So far the Red Cross has launched relief operations in 10 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico to help people affected by superstorm Sandy. They have so far activated 323 emergency response vehicles, provided more than 57,200 overnight stays in shelters, served more than 1.6 million meals and snacks, distributed more than 91,600 relief items, provided 23,900 emotional support and health contacts and deployed 5,400 trained disaster workers.
