The Greatest Guitars Of All Time?

If there’s one thing guitarists can agree on, it’s that they all have their own idea of what the best guitars are, and that their opinion is the correct one!
GuitarSite.com also has also drawn their own conclusions on the best guitars ever, and has published their list of the top ten.
Of course this immediately sparked debate, not only on GuitarSite.com, but also on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit.
The criteria that were used to make the selection included guitars that shaped the modern guitar industry and popular music.
The brands that made the list include:
- Fender (2 entries)
- Gibson (3 entries)
- Gretsch
- Rickenbacker
- Ibanez (2 entries)
- PRS
Probably one of the biggest surprises, and one that caused much of the initial debate, was the inclusion of the Dean Dimebag Razorback. However, after overwhelming feedback, this guitar was dropped from the main list and relegated to the status of 'Runner Up'.
The guitar that took Dean’s place in the list was the Gibson SG – with such legendary players as Angus Young and Derek Trucks using it, it was surprising that it had been left out of the original top ten.
Interestingly, no guitars with P90 pickups made the list, so if you’re a fan of guitars like the Les Paul Junior then you’re going to have to speak up – as they’ve already shown, GuitarSite.com can be made to change their minds.
