Music is an outburst of the soul. Music is what "Feelings" sound like. Music has the ability to convey what cannot be expressed. Rising R&B artist BlackRose is the essence of music. DYNAMIC, SOULFUL, POWERFUL AND DARING are the words that best describe budding R&B star Roosevelt K. Taylor Jr professionally known as BlackRose. The multi-talented BlackRose hails from Harlem, NY and he's being touted as "The New Prince of R&B" by many music industry insiders. The dynamic singer/songwriter spins stories of love, lessons learned, conflict and resolution. His sound is cutting edge and original.

BlackRose is an R&B/Soul Tour De Force. Combining an immense amount of raw talent and amazing showmanship, he is known for noteworthy performances. He's performed at such grand events as the Urban Music Explosion and The Coast2Cost Industry Mixer. A BlackRose concert is full of energy and stamina. Be prepared for an extravaganza! His energetic and electrifying stage presence draws comparisons to none other than R&B legend Marvin Gaye.

"I like to get the audience involved. They see that I'm having fun on stage and that energy permeates throughout the crowd. But, basically my job is to entertain the audience and leave them wanting more," raves BlackRose.

BlackRose's latest project is an explosive EP entitled "Harlem A Tale of 2 Hoods." The lead single off of the EP is a song called "Paper Chase," which is making an impact among DJ's and fans alike. The EP is cinematic, motivational, memorable, exciting, different and passionate.

Equally important, the incredibly talented BlackRose is not only a singer but he is also a prolific songwriter, rapper and artistic painter. "I create artistic murals for companies and nightclubs. I consider my murals to be masterpieces because I put my heart and soul into them," states the singer.

BlackRose was Inspired by the legends of R&B like Marvin Gaye, Teddy P, Al, Green and The Ojays. "My mission is to make classic soul music that stands the test of time. I want to be remembered as the number one artist of my time who brought back the movement of real R&B/Soul," proclaims the singer.
