BUZZMEDIA (www.buzz-media.com), the fastest growing company in the digital content landscape, today announced the appointment of Bill Jensen to the newly created position of Vice President/General Manager of Music. Joining Jensen's music team are Kim Persse as Director of Music Content and Industry Relations, and Nicole Cullinane as Executive Producer of Music Programming.

"Our digital properties are leading the digital music revolution," said Tyler Goldman, BUZZMEDIA CEO. "Stereogum, Idolator, Buzznet, and PureVolume, along with our ten other music properties, are category leaders, engaging over 40 million passionate music fans. With the addition of Bill, Kim, and Nicole to our team, I'm confident that BUZZ Music will continue to capture the enormous and expanding global audience for music."

As Vice President/General Manager of Music, Bill Jensen will oversee the editorial content and strategic development of BUZZMEDIA's 14 music properties. Jensen joins BUZZMEDIA from Village Voice Media, where, as Director of New Media, he led the transformation of VVM from a legacy weekly newspaper chain into a multi-platform digital powerhouse, increasing its revenue by 800% and growing its online traffic by 400%. Jensen also led the development and marketing of VVM's mobile applications, which have been downloaded to date by more than 1.5 million users in the Android and iTunes stores.

"Our portfolio of leading music properties provides must-visit daily destinations for tens of millions of active music fans," Jensen said. "People come to BUZZMEDIA properties to discover new music, to learn, and to get involved in the influential communities we've built around their favorite artists. Digital platforms revolutionized music content, and BUZZMEDIA brands lead the category because we're unique in our ability to provide exhaustive content in addition to a credible filter, authoritative voice and context."

As Director of Music Content and Industry Relations, Kim Persse is the primary liaison between BUZZMEDIA and the artist community. She was previously at AOL, where she helped lead overall content strategy, managed partnerships, and executed sales initiatives as Managing Editor for AOL's music properties.

Nicole Cullinane is BUZZMEDIA's new Executive Producer of Music Programming. Cullinane comes to BUZZ from MTV Digital in New York. She's also worked as an editor for Time Inc. and Hearst, and written for AOL, New York, People, and Publishers Weekly, among others.
