Mark Preston On Judith Regan Show
With a change in his career and a new direction this former Lettermen is going to talk to Judith Regan about what he has coming up and his new project.
Mark Preston, a former member of the internationally known vocal group, The Lettermen, has decided to return to his solo career and has a new project that he is very excited about.
With endorsements and the support of former founding member of The Lettermen, Jim Pike, as well as their original manager, Jess Rand, Preston has put together a tribute show called “Goin’ Out of My Head” – A Tribute To The Lettermen”. The tribute will feature the songs best associated with the famous vocal group.
Drawing from his experience of almost 10 years and 1500 performances as a member of The Lettermen, Mark said this tribute “was created with respect and with an attention to detail of the original sound of the group’s hits. For this group, I have two other singers with me, Ric Steel and Tom Garrett, both extremely talented men. I brought them on this project because they know and understand how much of an impact The Lettermen had on the music industry and how important it is to go back to the roots and perform this music as it was first created”.
This is not the first time Mark Preston has been on the Judith Regan radio program. “The last time I was on her show we had a wonderful time. A lot of laughs, great conversation about a wide range of topics from our new Lettermen CD with Les Brown Jr.'s Orchestra, to Lady Gaga, Phyllis Diller, as well as Judith's appearance on Millionaire Matchmaker. It was truly a great time,” Mark said.
“I love doing Judith's show,” Preston commented. “She is a wonderful, beautiful, talented woman and doing her show is very enjoyable for me. As I told her on the show the last time, she's a "walking Viagra" tablet...because she's absolutely gorgeous. There are no topics off limits, and we just have a great time talking.”
Mark first met Judith Regan through her former producer and a dear friend of Mark’s, Howie Greene. Howie and Mark have known each other for many years, dating back to the days they worked together for Celebrity Cruises in the 90’s.
Greene was the late James Brown’s personal manager for several years and both Greene and his wife have remained close friends of Preston’s since they first worked together years ago.
“On the November 16th program, I'm sure we'll once again be discussing a wide range of topics, but the main reasons are to promote my new tribute group "Goin' Out Of My Head - A Tribute To The Lettermen", as well as my solo career”, Preston said. “However, when you're on Judith's show, you never know which direction the conversation is going to go. You just put on the headsets, get in close to the microphone, and let the sparks fly.”
According to Sirius/XM Radio, “Publishing powerhouse Judith Regan brings her media and culture savvy to Sirius/XM Stars. From intimate one-on-one interviews to raucous roundtable discussions, Regan sits down with actors, authors, designers, doctors, philanthropists, politicians, commentators, comedians and America at large.”
The show will air on Sirius/XM Radio, channel 107, at 7 p.m. on Nov. 16th. You can access more information on Mark Preston at www.markprestonsinger.com.
