Sonicbids And SoundOut Join Forces To Deliver Detailed Feedback To Emerging Artists

Beta Launch to Enable Sonicbids Members to Get Feedback on Music for Free

BOSTON, MA May 25, 2011 – Sonicbids, the leading matchmaking site for bands and music promoters, and SoundOut, the market’s leading research and audience insight tool for new music, today announces a partnership to bring SoundOut’s crowd sourced feedback tool to Sonicbids’ artists. The program will give artists an opportunity to receive a review of their music by music fans and consumers – a $25.00 value free with their Sonicbids membership.

“Our goal is to help every band get a gig; that’s how we measure our success,” said Panos Panay, Sonicbids Founder and CEO. “Feedback is a critical part of that process. As an artist, the one thing you need the most is feedback to help you develop, and SoundOut is a great way to get that feedback from the people who matter the most to them – music fans and consumers.”

During the beta launch of the program, a random daily sampling of Sonicbids members will be offered the opportunity to submit one song for review by SoundOut, free of cost as part of their Sonicbids membership. The track is then reviewed by SoundOut’s community of music fans and consumers. SoundOut takes this feedback and provides an in-depth report on the track, including 50 reviews from music consumers and specifics on the song’s market potential, overall track rating, like rating by age group and gender and passion rating, indicating the intensity in which reviewers liked the song. This information can help artists evaluate the potential of their tracks, improve songs or recordings and better understand their target audience for marketing purposes.

The Sonicbids, SoundOut partnership follows on the heels of the introduction of Musician’s Friend Token Gig Listings, an initiative meant to encourage member experimentation with gigs by offering more than 60% of the gigs on Sonicbids site at no additional fee beyond a Sonicbids membership. Sonicbids continues its mission to connect every single band on the site with a gig.
