Odds On Records Eagerly Seeking To Sign Established Artists Looking For A Dynamic Fresh Start

Fresh off recent Billboard chart breakthroughs for 80s hitmakers Air Supply and emerging electronic act Ultraviolet Sound releasing their self title album just this past week (April 12), which debuted at #27 on the iTunes Album Dance chart, indie label Odds On Records is eager to expand its roster.

Label President Ted Joseph, an industry veteran whose vast resume includes an incredibly diverse 21-year-stint at Warner Bros. Records, says that Odds On is actively looking to sign artists, preferably those with strong track records and fan bases that are looking for a fresh start to their already once dynamic career.

"We are excited to work on new recording projects with artists and bands that have strong Soundscan and touring histories, and who are open and eager to going the independent label route," says Joseph. "We provide our artists with a complete range of services, including a state of the art recording studio, national distribution, marketing, radio promotion and PR."

In 2010, Air Supply (Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock) scored their first Billboard chart hit in 17 years with "Dance With Me," the first single from Mumbo Jumbo, their Odds On debut and first album of original material in eight years. "Dance With Me" reached #28 on the Adult Contemporary Chart, and their follow-up single "Faith In Love" also hit the Top 30.

Ultraviolet Sound (Sarah Hudson and Sami D.) toured nonstop for a year and a half, opening for pop stars Lady GaGa, Katy Perry and many other top artists. Their irresistible, provocative debut single "Suck My Kiss" (co-written with veteran tunesmith Desmond Child) was released last September and hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs Chart. The group's latest infectious single is "Girl Talk."

While many of the top executives Joseph has worked with over the years have shifted gears as casualties of the endless changes, the multi-faceted behind the scenes force is not only surviving, but thriving in the current environment. After several years as a consultant in the realm of "virtual labels," the Detroit-bred executive brings his vast wealth of experience and expertise to Odds On Records.

Over the years, in both New York and Los Angeles, Joseph worked in numerous departments at Warner Bros., including marketing, sales, radio promotion and distribution. Over the years, among others, he dealt with such superstar artists as Madonna, Rod Stewart and Prince.
