Congratulations To BMG ASCAP Country Music Award Winners

BMG is proud to take home nine awards at the 2010 ASCAP Country Music Awards. The winners are Brett James, Neil Thrasher, Jonathan Singleton, and busbee.

BMG, which has recently acquired Stage Three Music, has become in less than one year in operation in the US, a huge force in the music industry, specifically Nashville."We are proud of our writers. Their achievements are our achievements, just as we BMG are proud of our latest acquisition, Stage Three Music." Laurent Hubert, Chief Operating Officer, North America says from his office.

Brett James - Received five wins for the songs; "Out Last Night" sung by Kenny Chesney, "The Truth" by Jason Aldean, "Cowboy Casanova" performed by Carrie Underwood, "Summer Nights" by Rascal Flatts and "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You" performed by Tim McGraw. James has also had success with Grammy Award winning song "Jesus, Take the Wheel," by Carrie Underwood and also has written Number One hits forJessica Andrews,Martina McBrideandRodney Atkins. James has won "songwriter of the year twice.

Neil Thrasher - Won for his song "Strange" which was sung by legend Reba McEntire. Thrasher has written several singles for other country music artists, such asRascal Flatts,Kenny Chesney,Diamond Rio, andMontgomery Gentry. Thrasher has also received an ASCAPSongwriter of the Year award in 2004.

Jonathan Singleton - Won for two songs, "Why Don't We Just Dance" by Josh Turner and "Red Light" by David Nail. In 2009, ASCAP awarded Singleton for "Don't," which was one of the most-played country music songs of that year. Singleton also received an ASCAP award in 2008 for the Gary Allan hit "Watching Airplanes".

busbee - This is busbee's first ASCAP country music award. He won this year for the song "Summer Nights" which was performed by Rascal Flats. Busbee has worked with a wide range of artists includingTimbaland,Katy Perry,Lady Antebellum,Flo Rida,Backstreet Boys,LeAnn Rimes,Liz Phair,Switchfoot,Victoria Beckham,Mel C,Anastacia, to name a few.
