The unmistakable roar of HARLEY-DAVIDSON® motorcycles will descend on Austin, TX next week during SXSW 2010 for a series of events. Set for Saturday, March 20 from noon to 6:00pm at Club deVille (900 Red River St.), the HARLEY DOES AUSTIN daytime party will feature a diverse array of indie rock acts curated by VICE including: Priestess, Thee Oh Sees, River City Tan Lines and Bear Hands. Throughout the week, HARLEY-DAVIDSON® will be offering rides from the Dark Custom line for licensed motorcycle riders by appointment only. For those curious about motorcycles but without a license, HARLEY-DAVIDSON® is offering the unique “Thrill of the Throttle” riding experience on our specially set up stationary Dark Custom bikes which allow riders to jump on, start up, rev the engine and shift through the gears. Fans will also receive free motorclothes and gear while available. In addition, some of the artwork from the most recent Art of Rebellion show--presented by Harley-Davidson and which brought together together 10 iconic rock poster artists including Art Chantry, Brian Ewing, Derek Hess, Dirty Donny, Frank Kozik, Harpoon, John Van Hamersveld, Lindsey Kuhn, Tara McPherson and The Pizz--will be on display at the party.
