JBTV Celebrates 25 Years & New Format - Ryan Manno To Host - Christian Picciolini As GM
CHICAGO’S LONGEST-RUNNING, LOCAL MUSIC TELEVISION SHOW CONTINUES TO HOST MANY OF THE BIGGEST NAMES IN MODERN ROCK JBTV—Chicago’s longest-running independent television program dedicated to music and artists—will celebrate its legendary 25th year on the air in 2010 by launching an all-new, expanded program format as well as introducing dynamic new host Ryan Manno to viewers. The show will evolve into a new, long-format program that features personal artist interviews and exclusive live performances, matched with never-before-seen JBTV footage archived throughout the last 25 years of this storied show. Founder and creator, Jerry Bryant has produced and aired over 3,613 weekly episodes of JBTV since the program’s inception in 1985. In the process, Jerry’s unmatched love for music and determination to introduce overlooked and upstart artists to his loyal viewers has twice garnered the coveted Billboard Music Video Award for ´Best Local/Regional Alternative Modern Rock Show´ along with multiple Emmy Awards for production. The iconic Bryant will continue to be featured on the program in a segment that will showcase Jerry’s legendary footage from archives amassed over the past quarter century. The new era of JBTV will continue the program’s longstanding tradition of cutting edge, intimate, original music-related programming, while introducing Chicago media personality Ryan Manno as the show’s new host within the new format. Manno is a former Q101 radio host with a decade of dedication and passionate involvement in the regional music scene. Ryan’s new role will find him hosting and bringing unprecedented interview access to the biggest names in modern rock, maintaining JBTV’s reputation as the flagship source for current music television in the nation and one of the few remaining examples of Chicago’s proud tradition of local, independent programming. JBTV has also named music entrepreneur Christian Picciolini as the program’s first General Manager in 25 years of operation. Picciolini is formerly an IBM Marketing and Operations Specialist, and is the founder of Sinister Muse Records and co-founder of Goldmill Group - an artist development and management company based in Chicago. Beyond JBTV’s weekly music show, the network’s studios offer the only high definition, total-environment rock & roll music video production house in the Midwest, crafting cutting edge video HD production for blossoming artists and worldwide icons alike. The show has hosted early interviews (often the 1st interview) of some of today’s most notable acts like Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Blink-182, No Doubt, Smashing Pumpkins, Joey Ramone, Jeff Buckley, Joan Jett, Silverchair and thousands more.
