Lamina Rails Shares Passion And Creativity With Their New Release “The Queen’s Fall”

Toronto, Canada, December 18, 2009 - Lamina Rails was formed in 2005 by vocalist Michelle Christine and guitar player Victor Anechini. While they were involved in their own musical projects, Michelle and Victor decided to create something together. Their common bond for creating music while combining their talents has been exciting for both the Band and their fans.

“The Queen’s Fall”, released in 2008 is their second recorded demo since 2007. They “distinguish from other female-fronted Bands by presenting a more raw and straightforward sound influenced by Rock, Death, Trash, Doom and Gothic, inspired by neo-paganism ideas.”, said Victor. There are four members total, co-founders Michelle and Victor, David Snihur (bass), and Noah Burstyn (drums). The band is currently searching for a keyboardist.

Michelle Christine began studying Classical piano and flute at the young age of 9. She later discovered her gift of singing. In 2003, Michelle started taking popular singing classes. She studied Classical singing and also joined the “Boca Santa” choir, supported by the University of the State of Sao Paulo. Later, Michelle took part in her first Metal band project called “Serenade”. Today she is best known for her work as a singer, composer and lyricist with Lamina Rails.

Victor Anechini’s zeal for the electric guitar is heavily inspired by Dimebag Darrell (the late lead guitarist of bands Pantera and Damageplan). Victor started playing guitar at the age of 16. With Alternative, Rock and Heavy Metal influences, he performed in several bands including “Low Down” and “Auta 68”, and “Stoned Drunk”. With his experience, “the result of this combination is Lamina Rails, mixing the smoothness and beauty of female vocals and the power of the heavy metal guitar”, said Victor.

“The Queen’s Fall” features 8 songs, depicting the album’s dark theme. The album was recorded in their home studio. Lamina Rails is currently looking for a label to support and promote their work. To help reach new listeners, the Band recently took part in a compilation project with other independent Bands. “The Fortaleza Metal Compilation Vol. IV” is supported by Anaites/ZDP, broadcasting their music all over Brazil and other South American countries. The material is being distributed through several online retailers including CDBaby.com. Songs from “The Queen’s Fall” are also available for preview at http://www.myspace.com/laminarails.
