BILLBOARD HONORS NASHVILLE BASED SPONSORSHIP AGENCY

The award was announced yesterday at the 6th Annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards in NYC. MAC Presents negotiated the presenting sponsorship. “It’s an honor to be recognized within the music industry,” Marcie Allen, states President of MAC Presents. “Winning the Concert Marketing & Promotion Award is a testament to the authenticity of this partnership and the value that it brings to the artist, the brands, and the consumer.” The Billboard Concert Marketing & Promotion Award recognizes a sponsorship that benefited the concert industry at large by stimulating attendance to live events, providing value to fans and promoting the artist and brands involved. The KC Masterpiece/Kingsford sponsorship of Keith Urban’s 2009 tour was one of seven finalists chosen. The other nominees included: • The Rascal Flatts American Living Unstoppable tour presented by JC Penney, with Hershey • Blink-182 presented by State Farm • The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival (featuring Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Killswitch Engage and more) • Britney Spears – The Virgin Mobile Presents The Circus tour • The Nickelback Dark Horse tour with Nikon and Internet Explorer • The Virgin Mobile Freefest (featuring Weezer, Blink-182, Public Enemy and more) MAC Presents has been recognized with nominations for Billboard’s Concert Marketing & Promotion Award each year since its inception in 2007. In the award’s inaugural year, MAC Presents became the first ever recipient for their participation with Jeep’s sponsorship of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Soul2Soul Tour. MAC Presents was nominated in both 2007 and 2008 for this award for the BlackBerry Presents John Mayer tour.
