Myxer And Mass Animation To Launch First Simultaneous Theatrical And Mobile Release Of A Movie
Myxer, the leader in mobile entertainment with 27 million users, and Mass Animation, the largest global animation collaboration ever, announced the availability of the Live Music mobile content channel on Myxer (www.myxer.com/livemusic). The companies are partnering in the first ever "day and date" theatrical and mobile release with Live Music appearing on 500 digital screens nationwide on November 20th in front of Sony Pictures' release of Planet 51 and on mobile via Myxer's content delivery platform the same day. Live Music is brought to you by the team behind the Academy Award winning animated short, "The Chubb Chubbs" (2002) and the Executive Producer of this year's animated hit Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. It started with the creation of a virtual studio on Facebook and an open invitation to artists around the world to collaborate in the making of an animated short film. Over 58,000 fans worldwide joined the community with 51 finalist animators from 17 countries credited in the film.
